Windmill

Ingram Feed & Seed was started as Ingram Seeds in 1987 when Kent W. Ingram became a dealer for Northrup King Co. We also became a dealer for Arrow Seed Co. in the spring of 1988. I had just graduated from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy. The seed business was to be a way to diversify and help make a living upon my return to the family farm. We began growing Certified Seed Wheat for Arrow Seed in 1989. In 1995, I grew the first Certified Wheat for our own sales.

Fate works in mysterious ways. I basically fell into the feed business in 1992 by agreeing to warehouse for a Purina dealer in Kearney, Nebraska. When that dealer closed in 1994, I took over the Purina dealership and changed the name of the business to Ingram Feed & Seed. Our dealership has steadily grown by working off the farm and putting in many hours...just as many of our customers do. In the summer of 2003, we purchased the present business location, one mile north of Franklin, Nebraska. The business was moved on November 1, 2003. The new location has allowed for future growth of both the feed milling and seed conditioning.

We offer milling and mixing of bulk feeds for cattle, hogs, sheep, and other livestock. We carry a wide line of farm and ranch supplies as well as a complete variety of pet supplies, equipment, treats, toys, and of course, food. Backyard wildlife supplies for wild birds, deer, squirrels, and rabbits are also stocked. We can obtain a wide range of livestock feeding and handling equipment too. We also carry Arien's outdoor power equipment.

We currently carry only Purina brand feeds. Ingram Feed & Seed firmly believes that Purina Mills is the leader in animal nutrition by such a wide margin that we would be mistaken to carry other brands.

We do have the ability to make custom mixes with various, commodity ingredients. Call us to see if we can help you with a custom mix.
